Cobia has a relatively large head, wide mouth with sharp teeth. They are typically blackish-gray, with a slightly whitish-gray belly. Their rounded and robust body has thick skin and the abdomen contains a considerable amount of fat. The cobia’s spawning season occurs from April to October each year.
