- Parrot fish has this name because its mouth resembles that of a parrot and it is a species that primarily inhabits tropical sea watar environments, mainly in coral reefs, seagrass beds, or rocky areas. They are commonly found in the western seas of Vietnam, such as Kien Giang, Ca Mau, Soc Trang, Ben Tre, and more.
- Parrot fish has a relatively flat body with small and thin scales covering it. Additionally, its head is somewhat square in shape.
