Special features:
Red snapper is a type of fish belonging to the Lutjanidae family. This fish species is widely distributed worldwide but it is mainly found in the Indian Ocean and the western Pacific Ocean. In Vietnam, this type of fish is most commonly found in the North and the South Central Coast. Red snapper is a predatory fish so they swim very quickly and strongly and their primary food source is small fish.
Red snapper has an elliptical body shape with a flat profile and a curved back edge and a flat belly edge. The head of the fish is concave, the mouth is long and sharp, and the fins are often beautifully pink in color. Red snapper lives close to the seabed in areas with rocky outcrops and coral reefs, and they prefer clean water with high clarity. Adult red snapper can reach a length of one meter. The spawning season of red snapper typically occurs from March to July each year.
